Powered by axle generators and using wheel slide protectiontechnology developed by Knorr-Bremse, FreightControl Sentinel enablesimmediate monitoring of wheels and brake condition. This reduces the risk ofwheel and rail damage, optimizes maintenance schedules, and increasesoperational safety.Digital growth opportunitiesSince the contract was signed, VTG Rail UK has already received asignificant number of orders for iWagons with FreightControl Sentinel onboard for customers such as Heidelberg Materials, Breedon Group, Tarmac, andAlvance British Aluminium and many others.
